Hey everyone. I'm sitting here high on paint fumes after painting a bedroom thinking my crazy thoughts (things like, every time you paint a room does it get a little bit smaller?) and I started wondering about the in game cinematic(s). I'm not sure if there will only be the intro cinematic or if they'll integrate them into the storyline similar to how WoW did in Wrath of the Lich King. Here's what I'm wondering about. Does anyone think there's a chance that for the first time (that I know of) in an MMO we'll get to see our own custom character as part of the in game cinematics? I'm not sure what it would require to make this happen in an MMO but I know this sort of thing can be done based on my experience playing old WWF Nintendo 64 games where your custom wrester would appear in various back stage interviews and conflicts that appeared as cinematics. Perhaps there's a way to program an MMO so that each person watching the cinematic sees their own character. I was curious what everyone's thoughts are on this. Would you like to see it? Is it a horrible idea?

Hey Max,I like the idea, I think it would definitely help with immersion. But I also think it would be a nightmare to do when you think there are probably going to be millions of players with thousands of different items of clothing to choose from, It's just too many variables which could be resource hungry for the mega server. I'm not sure entirely how it works but I'm sure its much simpler to do on a single player game than an mmo. But great idea hopefully we'll get to see it in the future

If the cinematic uses the game engine its very possible. If the Cinematic is CGI its much harder if not impossible. Since the ingame engine is quite realistic as compared to alot of MMOs I think it would be really neat to have a cinematic with our chars in it.
